The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen.

Target Information
Periostin (PN), also known as osteoblast-specific factor 2 (OSF-2), is a disulfide-linked secreted protein that binds heparin and acts as a ligand for αVβ3 and αVβ5 integrins.
It functions as a cell adhesion molecule involved in osteoblast recruitment, spreading, and attachment.
Periostin is mainly expressed in the gastrointestinal tract, aorta, stomach, placenta, uterus, and breast tissues, and is upregulated in ovarian and breast cancers.
Its expression is increased by BMP2 and TGFβ1.
The protein contains a signal sequence, a cysteine-rich domain, four fasciclin-like repeats, and a C-terminal domain.
