For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
CD2 (LFA-2) is a monomeric surface antigen (45–58 kDa) expressed on human T lymphocytes and some NK cells, but not on B cells.
It mediates adhesion between T cells and antigen-presenting cells via interaction with CD58.
CD2 expression increases upon T cell activation, enhancing cell-cell contact and adhesion.
Deficiency in CD2 can reduce intestinal inflammation and affect immune responses.
Associated diseases include penis squamous cell carcinoma and thymus-related immune deficiency.
