이 항체는 mouse J774A.1 세포를 calyculin A로 처리했을 때 SDS-PAGE 면역블롯에서 23 kDa* 더블렛 형태의 인산화된 Bad 단백질을 검출합니다. Lambda phosphatase 처리 후에는 이러한 반응성이 관찰되지 않습니다.
Target Information
BAD 단백질은 BCL-2 패밀리의 구성원으로, 세포 사멸(programmed cell death)을 조절하는 역할을 합니다. 이 단백질은 BCL-xL 및 BCL-2와 이합체를 형성하여 이들의 사멸 억제 기능을 반전시킴으로써 세포 사멸을 촉진합니다. BAD의 친사멸성(proapoptotic) 활성은 인산화에 의해 조절되며, AKT, MAP kinase, calcineurin 등의 단백질 인산화 효소 및 인산화 효소가 관여합니다. 대체 스플라이싱으로 인해 동일한 아이소폼을 암호화하는 두 가지 전사체 변형이 존재합니다.
