Carrier-Free
- Reconstitution:
Centrifuge the vial briefly before opening. Reconstitute lyophilized protein in sterile distilled water or buffered solution containing 0.1% BSA. Further dilutions should be made in PBS with 0.1% BSA. - Storage:
Store lyophilized protein at 2–8°C or -20°C (preferably desiccated). After reconstitution, divide into aliquots and store at ≤-20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Target Information
The vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) family includes VEGF-A, VEGF-B, VEGF-C, VEGF-D, VEGF-E, and PIGF. VEGF and its receptors are key regulators of angiogenesis signaling. Tumors often require angiogenesis, and VEGF is the most potent cytokine driving this process.
Five VEGF isoforms are generated by alternative splicing of a single gene and bind to tyrosine kinase receptors flt-1 (VEGFR-1) and flk-1/KDR (VEGFR-2), which are primarily expressed on endothelial cells.
