Product Specific Information
This antibody was cross-adsorbed to a phospho-serine peptide before affinity purified using phospho-fascin (Ser-39) peptide (without carrier).
Detects a 55 kDa band corresponding to fascin on SDS-PAGE immunoblots of mouse C2C12 and human HeLa cells treated with Calyculin A.
This band disappears after lambda phosphatase treatment.
Also detects fascin (Ser-39) phosphorylation in chick DRG neurons.
Target Information
Fascin organizes filamentous actin into bundles with a minimum of 4:1 actin/fascin ratio.
It is involved in the assembly of actin filament bundles present in microspikes, membrane ruffles, and stress fibers.
