Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
Retinoic acid plays a critical role in development, cellular growth, and differentiation. The specific function of this retinoic acid-induced gene (RAI3) has not yet been determined; however, it may play a role in embryonic development and epithelial cell differentiation.
RAI3 is a member of the type 3 G protein-coupled receptor family, characterized by a 7-transmembrane domain motif. It may also be involved in interactions between retinoid acid and G protein signaling pathways.
RAI3 expression has been reported in lung, kidney, colon, pancreas, prostate, and small intestine. ESTs have been isolated from amnion, breast, colon, eye, lung, nasal cavity, placenta, skin, uterus, and vessel libraries.
