Target Information
STK38 (also known as NDR) or Nuclear Dbf2-related protein is a serine/threonine kinase belonging to the AGC kinase family regulated by Mob proteins. Fas and TNFα receptor stimulation activates human STK38 through phosphorylation at the hydrophobic motif. NDR acts as a pro-apoptotic kinase and is a key member of the RASSF1A/MST1 signaling cascade.
STK38 is essential for mitotic chromosome alignment fidelity, incorporated into HIV-1 particles, and cleaved by HIV-1 protease. Centrosome duplication driven by STK38 requires Cdk2 activity, and reduction of STK38 affects Cdk2-induced centrosome amplification.
