Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Murine TRAIL. Anti-Murine TRAIL-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Murine TRAIL by sandwich ELISA (100 µL/well), use 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody. When paired with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Murine TRAIL (500-P303) as a capture antibody, it enables detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Murine TRAIL.

Western Blot:
To detect Murine TRAIL by Western Blot, use at 0.1–0.2 mg/mL. Detection limit for Recombinant Murine TRAIL is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

TRAIL (Tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand) is a cytokine belonging to the TNF ligand family. It selectively induces apoptosis in transformed and tumor cells without affecting normal cells, despite being expressed in many normal tissues.
TRAIL binds to several TNF receptor superfamily members, including TNFRSF10A/TRAILR1, TNFRSF10B/TRAILR2, TNFRSF10C/TRAILR3, TNFRSF10D/TRAILR4, and possibly TNFRSF11B/OPG.
Its activity is modulated by decoy receptors (TRAILR3, TRAILR4, OPG) that do not induce apoptosis. Binding of TRAIL to its receptors activates MAPK8/JNK, caspase 8, and caspase 3 pathways.
TRAIL functions as a type II membrane protein and induces apoptosis and NF-κB activation, similar to TNF and Fas ligand.
