The 20d5 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse NKG2A, C, and E. NKG2 molecules are C-type lectin-like receptors expressed by mouse NK and NKT cell lineages. They form heterodimeric complexes with CD94 and recognize non-classical MHC class I antigen Qa-1.

When co-staining with NKG2A^B6 clone 16a11, stain for NKG2A-B6 first, then subsequently with NKG2A/C/E to avoid steric hindrance.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes.
Use ≤ 0.125 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Optimize titration for best performance.

PerCP-eFluor® 710 can replace PE-Cy5, PE-Cy5.5, or PerCP-Cy5.5.

PerCP-eFluor® 710 conjugated antibodies are stable after exposure to 2% formaldehyde overnight at 4°C. Evaluate for alternative fixation protocols.

Target Information

Natural killer (NK) cells mediate lysis of tumor and virus-infected cells and regulate humoral and cell-mediated immunity. The NKG2 family, part of the killer cell lectin-like receptor family, are transmembrane proteins with a C-type lectin domain. These proteins form complexes with KLRD1/CD94 and recognize MHC class I HLA-E molecules in NK cells. NKG2 genes are located on chromosome 12, with four alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding two isoforms.
