Product Specific Information

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems clone antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits, followed by screening to select optimal production clones.
Advantages include:

  • Enhanced specificity and sensitivity
  • Consistent lot-to-lot performance
  • Animal origin-free formulation
  • Broader immunoreactivity due to the rabbit immune repertoire

Target Information

The receptor tyrosine kinase RET belongs to the cadherin superfamily and is crucial for neural crest development. RET can undergo oncogenic activation through cytogenetic rearrangements and mediates cell growth and differentiation signals.
Mutations in the RET gene are associated with:

  • Multiple endocrine neoplasia type IIA and IIB
  • Hirschsprung disease
  • Medullary thyroid carcinoma

Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified, with additional variants described but not fully validated.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
