Antibody detects endogenous levels of total Factor XII.
Target Information
Factor XII는 단일 사슬 zymogen으로, 활성화 시 두 개의 사슬(heavy chain과 light chain)을 가진 serine protease로 전환됩니다.
Heavy chain에는 fibronectin-type domain, EGF-like domain, kringle domain, proline-rich domain이 포함되어 있으며, light chain은 catalytic domain으로 구성됩니다.
활성화 과정에서 추가 절단이 일어나 β-factor XIIa가 생성됩니다. Factor XII는 prekallikrein을 절단하여 kallikrein을 형성하고, 이는 다시 Factor XII를 α-factor XIIa 및 β-factor XIIa로 전환시킵니다.
활성화된 Factor XIIa는 혈액 응고, 섬유소 용해, bradykinin 및 angiotensin 생성에 관여하며, 응고인자 VII과 XI을 활성화합니다.
이 유전자 결함은 임상적 증상을 유발하지 않으며, 전혈 응고 시간이 연장되는 효과만 나타납니다.
