Product Specific Information

This antibody reacts with human, rat, and mouse CAND1/TIP120A. Cross-reactivity occurs with human, rat, and mouse CAND2/TIP120B. Cross-reactivity with CAND1 from other sources is not known.
Target Information
CAND1 enhances transcription from various types of promoters. It is a regulatory protein that interferes with the assembly of the SCF (SKP1-CUL1-F-box protein) ubiquitin ligase complex, thereby down-regulating ubiquitination of target proteins.
CAND1 prevents neddylation of CUL1 by physically blocking access to the neddylation site and disrupts interactions between CUL1 and SKP1A as well as between CUL1 and F-box proteins.
