Product Specific Information
- Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration.
- Restore with deionized water (or equivalent).
- Stable at 4°C as an undiluted liquid.
- Dilute only prior to immediate use.
- Centrifuge if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
- Do not freeze after reconstitution.
- Store reagent in the dark and use subdued lighting during handling and incubation.
Anti-AKT3 antibody is directed against human AKT3 and detects both unphosphorylated and phosphorylated forms. Cross-reactivity with AKT3 from other species is expected due to 100% sequence identity to human, mouse, and rat. Cross-reactivity with AKT2 or AKT has not been determined.
Target Information
AKT3 (PKB gamma) is a kinase stimulated by platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), insulin, and insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF1). It participates in various biological processes such as:
- Cell proliferation and differentiation
- Apoptosis and tumorigenesis
- Glycogen synthesis and glucose uptake
Alternative splice variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported.
