ZIP13은 ZIP 운반체 패밀리 중 LIV-1 서브패밀리에 속하는 다중막단백질이며, ZIP13 유전자의 돌연변이는 Ehlers-Danlos 증후군의 일종인 spondylocheiro dysplastic 형태(SCD-EDS)를 유발하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
ZIP13은 결합조직 발달에 필수적이며 BMP/TGF-β 신호 경로에도 관여합니다.
