Product Specific Information
Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. Restore with deionized water or equivalent. For extended storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge if not clear after standing at room temperature. Stable for several weeks at 4°C as undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Expiration date is one year from restoration.
Anti-AKT2 antibody is directed against human AKT2 and detects both unphosphorylated and phosphorylated forms. Cross-reactivity with other species has not been determined but sequence identity suggests possible reactivity with mouse (88%) and rat (90%).
Target Information
AKT2 is a phosphoinositide-dependent serine/threonine protein kinase enriched in insulin-responsive tissues, involved in metabolic signaling and growth factor pathways. Akt2 is amplified and overexpressed in certain human cancers.
