Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
SIRT5 is a human member of the sirtuin (Sir2-like) protein family, found in both prokaryotes and eukaryotes. These proteins share a conserved sirtuin core domain and are involved in NAD metabolism and potentially mono-ADP-ribosyltransferase activity.
Recent studies suggest a coupled activation mechanism between Sir2-mediated NAD metabolism and histone deacetylation, indicating interactions with NAD and acetylated histone lysine residues.
