Target Information
Connexin 43 (Cx43)는 갭 정션 단백질 패밀리에 속하는 단백질로, 세포막에서 헥사머 형태로 조립되어 인접 세포 간 통신 채널을 형성합니다. 이러한 갭 정션은 세포 성장 조절과 발달 과정에서 중요한 역할을 합니다.
Cx43의 인산화는 갭 정션의 조립과 기능 조절에 관여하며, PKC에 의해 Ser368이 인산화되면 세포 간 통신이 감소합니다. 또한 Src 단백질이 Cx43을 인산화하여 갭 정션 기능을 조절할 수 있습니다.
Connexin 43은 심장에서 주요 갭 정션 단백질로, 심근 세포 간 결합과 수축 동기화에 필수적입니다. GJA1P라는 관련된 유사 유전자가 염색체 5번에 존재합니다.
GFAP 유전자의 돌연변이는 Charcot-Marie-Tooth 병, 안면-치아-손가락 이형증, 심장 기형과 관련이 있습니다.
