Product Specific Information
For maximum recovery, please spin prior to use.
Unless noted below, aliquots of the 5 µg, 10 µg, and 20 µg sizes of kinase are not recommended; materials can be used in original packaging until exhausted.
For larger sizes, the number of freeze/thaws may be reduced by preparing aliquots; aliquots below 20 µL are not recommended.
Never store a kinase diluted.
If properly stored at -80°C, this product is guaranteed for 6 months from date of purchase.
Protein Form: Recombinant, Full Length
Target Information
Aurora kinases associate with microtubules during chromosome movement and segregation.
AURKB (Aurora B) localizes to microtubules near kinetochores, specifically to K-fibers.
This complex functions in chromosome alignment and separation, histone modification, and cytokinesis.
The Chromosomal Passenger Complex (CPC) includes INCENP, survivin, and borealin, which regulate activity, localization, and stability of AurB.
Two CPCs exist during mitosis: one containing all four members and another consisting of INCENP and AurB.
AurB is overexpressed in several tumors, including breast and colon, and may interact with Aurora-A kinase in a feedback mechanism.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
