Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The Betatrophin protein, also known as hepatocellular carcinoma-associated protein TD26, is an adipocyte- and liver-enriched insulin-targeted gene involved in lipid metabolism and regulation of serum triglyceride levels.
It is closely related to the angiopoietin-like (ANGPTL) protein family. Betatrophin mRNA levels increase in cold environments and after high-fat diet treatment, while they decrease during fasting, suggesting a role in thermogenesis and energy homeostasis.
