Target Information

Programmed death-ligand 2 (PD-L2, B7-DC) is a member of the B7 ligand family within the immunoglobulin superfamily and acts as a ligand for PD-1, along with PD-L1.
PD-L2 is primarily expressed in dendritic cells but can be induced in various immune and non-immune cells depending on cytokine conditions.
It has a higher affinity for PD-1 than PD-L1 and functions as an inhibitory immune checkpoint molecule, regulating T cell activation and cytokine secretion.
PD-L2 also interacts with RGMb, influencing respiratory tolerance and immune regulation in the lung.
The human PD-L2 monomer consists of a 201-amino-acid extracellular domain, a 21-amino-acid transmembrane domain, and a 32-amino-acid cytoplasmic domain.
