The monoclonal antibody M.Ab.F11 recognizes junctional adhesion molecule-A (JAM-A), also known as the human platelet F11-Receptor (F11R) or JAM-1.
Target Information
CD321 (F11R, JAM-1, JAM-A) is a cell-surface adhesion molecule belonging to the Ig superfamily of receptors. It is a 32–41 kDa glycoprotein with two extracellular Ig-like domains, a transmembrane region, and a short cytosolic tail. The protein forms homodimers and associates with other membrane proteins such as integrins.
CD321 is expressed on leukocytes, platelets, erythrocytes, stem cells, epithelial and endothelial cells, and mediates cell-cell contact. It is located near tight junction components including ZO-1 and occludin, and plays roles in maintaining epithelial/endothelial barriers, hematopoiesis, angiogenesis, and tumor proliferation, invasion, and metastasis.
