Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Activin A receptor kinase (ACVR2A) is a type II receptor in the TGF-beta family of Serine/Threonine kinases.
It plays a role in activin and myostatin signaling pathways.
Aliases: ACVR2, ACTRII.

These receptors are transmembrane proteins composed of:

  • A ligand-binding extracellular domain with cysteine-rich region
  • A transmembrane domain
  • A cytoplasmic domain with serine/threonine kinase activity

Type I receptors are essential for signaling, while type II receptors bind ligands and facilitate type I receptor expression.
Upon ligand binding, type I and II receptors form a stable complex, leading to phosphorylation of type I receptors by type II receptors.
Type II receptors are constitutively active kinases.
