Product Specific Information

The eBioMWReg30 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD41 (fibrinogen receptor, gpIIb, integrin alpha IIb).
CD41 is expressed on platelets, megakaryocytes, and hematopoietic progenitors. It associates with CD61 (gpIIIa, integrin beta III) forming a receptor involved in platelet adhesion and aggregation.

Studies using SLAM-family markers (CD48, CD150) show that CD150⁺CD48⁻CD41⁻ profile efficiently identifies hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs).

Fluorophore Information:
PerCP-eFluor® 710 emits at 710 nm, excited by 488 nm blue laser. Use a 710/50 bandpass filter (695/40 acceptable). Ensure instrument compatibility.

Fixation:
Samples can be stored up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark using:

• IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222)
• 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333)

Filtration:
0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

CD41 (platelet glycoprotein IIb, ITGA2B) consists of two subunits (120 kDa α and 23 kDa β) that interact with CD61 in the presence of calcium to form a functional receptor.
It mediates platelet aggregation and binds to von Willebrand factor, fibrinogen, fibronectin, and vitronectin.
Expressed in megakaryocyte-platelet lineage and early hematopoietic stages.
Associated diseases: Glanzmann Thrombasthenia, Platelet type-16 bleeding disorder.
