Product Specific Information

Description:
The HIB19 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD19, a 95 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed by B cells throughout development except plasma cells. CD19 forms a complex with CD21, CD81, Leu13, and MHC class II, participating in BCR signaling that induces tyrosine phosphorylation, calcium flux, and B cell proliferation.

Applications Reported:
Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended usage: 5 µL (1 µg) per test in a final volume of 100 µL. Cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

Target Information

CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with two Ig-like domains, expressed on all peripheral B cells and certain myeloid leukemia cells. It acts as a co-receptor with BCR, lowering the activation threshold for antigen-dependent stimulation. CD19 regulates B cell proliferation and differentiation, and its mutation or overexpression leads to immunological abnormalities such as hypogammaglobulinemia or B cell hyperactivity.
