Target Information
TDP-43는 HIV-1 바이러스의 TAR DNA 서열 모티프에 결합하여 HIV-1 LTR의 전사 억제자로 작용하는 단백질로 처음 확인되었습니다. 이후 연구에서 TDP-43이 낭포성 섬유증 막 단백질 조절 인자(CFTR)의 엑손 9 스플라이싱을 조절한다는 사실이 밝혀졌으며, 이는 3' 스플라이스 부위의 UG 반복 서열과의 결합을 통해 이루어지는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 과인산화, 유비퀴틴화, 절단된 형태의 병리적 TDP-43은 유비퀴틴 양성, 타우 음성, 알파-시누클레인 음성 전측두엽 치매(FLTD-U)의 주요 질병 단백질로 알려져 있습니다. TDP-43은 HIV-1 TAR RNA 서열에 결합하는 RNA 결합 단백질 TRBP1과는 관련이 없습니다.
