Product Specific Information
- Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
- The antigen shares 80% identity with Erk1.
- Specificity: Erk2 and Erk1.
Target Information
ERK1 and ERK2 are widely expressed and regulate meiosis, mitosis, and postmitotic functions in differentiated cells.
They are activated by various stimuli such as growth factors, cytokines, viral infection, and G protein-coupled receptor ligands.
Upon activation, Raf phosphorylates MEK1/2, which in turn phosphorylates ERK1/2. Activated ERKs phosphorylate cytoplasmic targets or migrate to the nucleus to activate transcription factors such as c-Fos and Elk-1.
