Notch1 antibody is directed against human NOTCH1.
No reaction is detected against NOTCH2.
No reactivity observed against Mouse Notch.
Other species have not been tested.

Target Information

The Notch gene family encodes transmembrane proteins with multiple cysteine-rich EGF-like repeats in the extracellular region.
Four mammalian Notch genes have been identified: Notch1, Notch2, Notch3, Notch4 (Int-3), involved in differentiation of the nervous system and other tissues.
EGF-like proteins Delta and Serrate are ligands of Notch1.
Mature Notch proteins are heterodimeric receptors formed by cleavage of Notch pre-proteins into an extracellular subunit (NEC) and a transmembrane subunit (Ntm).
