Target Information
Protein kinase C (PKC)는 세린/트레오닌 특이적 단백질 키나아제 계열로, 칼슘 및 다이에실글리세롤에 의해 활성화됩니다. PKC 계열 단백질은 다양한 단백질 타깃을 인산화하며, 세포 신호전달 경로에 관여합니다. 또한 포르볼 에스터류의 주요 수용체로 작용합니다. 각 PKC family 멤버는 고유한 발현 프로파일을 가지며, 세포 내에서 특정 기능을 수행합니다.
PKC beta 단백질은 B 세포 활성화, 세포자멸사 유도, 내피세포 증식, 장내 당 흡수 조절 등 다양한 세포 기능에 관여하는 것으로 보고되었습니다. 마우스 연구에서는 신경 기능 조절 및 스트레스 후 공포 관련 행동과의 상관성도 제시되었습니다. 대체 스플라이싱된 전사체 변이체가 보고되어 있습니다.
