• Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration.
• For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
• Centrifuge if solution is not clear after standing at room temperature.
• Stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid.
• Dilute only immediately before use.
• In ELISA and other immunoreactive assays, this antibody recognizes both native and recombinant human IL-17A in cell supernatants and certain body fluids.
• A control of similarly diluted normal rabbit IgG is recommended.

Target Information

Interleukin-17A (IL-17A, CTLA-8) is a CD4+ T cell-derived cytokine that promotes inflammatory responses in cell lines and is elevated in conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, multiple sclerosis, psoriasis, and transplant rejection.
IL-17A is a 32 kDa disulfide-linked homodimer consisting of 136 amino acids and belongs to the IL-17 family (IL-17A–IL-17F). It signals through the IL-17 receptor (IL-17R/CDw217).

Key biological roles include:

• Enhancing ICAM-1 expression in human fibroblasts
• Stimulating epithelial, endothelial, and fibroblastic cells to secrete IL-6, IL-8, G-CSF, and PGE2
• Supporting proliferation and maturation of hematopoietic progenitors into neutrophils
• Activating NF-κB and MAPK pathways
• Inducing COX-2 and nitric oxide production
