• Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing.
• Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
• Stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid.
• Dilute only prior to immediate use.
• In ELISA and other immunoreactive assays, this antibody recognizes both native and recombinant human IL17-F in cell supernatants and certain body fluids.
• A control of similarly diluted normal rabbit IgG is recommended.

Target Information

IL-17F (Interleukin 17F, CTLA-8) is a cytokine belonging to the IL-17 family, produced by inflammatory cells such as activated T cells, mast cells, and basophils.
It is involved in allergic airway inflammation and induces cytokines, chemokines, and adhesion molecules in bronchial epithelial cells, endothelial cells, fibroblasts, and eosinophils.
IL-17F may be secreted as a homodimer or heterodimer with IL-17A, binding to IL-17R to recruit monocytes and neutrophils by increasing chemokine production.
It stimulates pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, and IL-8, and is implicated in chronic inflammatory diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and multiple sclerosis.
IL-17F is produced as a homodimer, one of six IL-17 family members (IL-17A–F), and is highly expressed by activated effector memory T cells.
It can inhibit angiogenesis and induce endothelial cells to produce IL-2, TGF-β, and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1.
