The M806B anti-EGF antibody (biotinylated conjugate of clone 3A8) has successfully been paired as the detection antibody in a sandwich ELISA with coating antibody M805 (Clone 1H11).
Typical dilutions for sandwich ELISA:

Target Information
Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) binds to the EGF receptor (EGFR), a 170 kDa protein kinase, activating diverse cellular pathways. Upon ligand binding, EGFR forms homo- or heterodimers, initiating distinct signaling cascades through SH2-containing effector proteins.
EGF is widely expressed in kidney, brain, prostate, and salivary glands, acting as a potent mitogenic factor. The phosphorylated receptor recruits adapter proteins such as GRB2, activating downstream signaling modules including:
- RAS–RAF–MEK–ERK
- PI3K–AKT
- PLCγ–PKC
- STAT pathways
Research suggests EGF also influences NF-κB signaling. Mutations in the EGF gene are linked to hypomagnesemia type 4, and dysregulation is associated with cancer progression.
