Target Information
ZAK는 leucine zipper를 포함하는 mitogen-activated protein kinase 관련 단백질로, MLK 계열과 유사한 기능을 수행합니다. MAP2K를 활성화하며 MAPKKK 계열 신호전달 단백질군에 속합니다.
이 단백질은 N-말단 kinase catalytic domain, leucine zipper motif, sterile-alpha motif를 포함하며, 마그네슘 결합 단백질로 세포질에 존재합니다.
ZAK는 감마 방사선 신호에 의한 세포 주기 정지 및 세포 주기 체크포인트 조절에 관여하며, 또한 세포자멸사(pro-apoptotic) 활성을 가집니다.
여러 전사적 스플라이싱 변이체가 존재하며, 서로 다른 isoform을 암호화합니다.
