Rat anti-Dog CD45 antibody, clone YKIX716.13 recognizes canine CD45, also known as leukocyte common antigen. It was clustered as Canine CD45 in the First Canine Leukocyte Antigen Workshop (CLAW).
Target Information
CD45 (LCA, leukocyte common antigen) is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) expressed in all nucleated hematopoietic cells, representing approximately 10% of lymphocyte surface proteins. It is absent in non-hematopoietic cells and tissues.
CD45 glycoprotein plays a crucial role in lymphocyte development and antigen signaling, regulating Src-family kinases and JAK kinases. Multiple isoforms arise from alternative splicing, differing in extracellular domains but sharing identical transmembrane and cytoplasmic regions.
CD45RA is an isoform with restricted expression among lymphoid subtypes. CD45 is essential for T- and B-cell receptor signaling, cytokine receptor regulation, and integrin-mediated signaling pathways involved in cell survival and apoptosis.
