Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed):
Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature (RT).
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris Buffer with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes.
Target Information
Mucins are high molecular weight glycoproteins composed of approximately 80% carbohydrate and 20% protein core. Gastric mucin is normally present in the human gastrointestinal tract. The resurgence of gastric mucin reactivity during colonic carcinogenesis is due to re-expression of the peptide core of gastric (or fetal colonic) mucins.
