Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- For formalin-fixed tissues, heat tissue sections in 10 mM Tris Buffer with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, then cool at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
Mucins are high molecular weight glycoproteins composed of approximately 80% carbohydrate and 20% protein core. Gastric mucin is normally found in the human gastrointestinal tract. During colonic carcinogenesis, gastric mucin reactivity may reappear due to re-expression of the peptide core of gastric (or fetal colonic) mucins.
