Product Specific Information
Antibody detects endogenous levels of PDGF Receptor beta only when phosphorylated at Tyr1009.
Target Information
PDGFRB is a receptor tyrosine kinase implicated in atherogenesis and cell transformation by the SIS oncogene. These growth factors are mitogens for mesenchymal-origin cells. The growth factor bound to a receptor monomer determines whether the receptor forms a homodimer or heterodimer (PDGF receptor α/β). The PDGFRB gene on chromosome 5 is flanked by GM-CSF and M-CSFR genes, all possibly involved in 5-q syndrome. A translocation between chromosomes 5 and 12 fusing PDGFRB (CD140b) and ETV6 causes chronic myeloproliferative disorder with eosinophilia.
