Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
Kallikreins are a subgroup of serine proteases with diverse physiological functions. Many kallikreins are implicated in carcinogenesis and may serve as biomarkers for cancer and other diseases. The KLK8 gene, located on chromosome 19, may be involved in proteolytic cascades in the skin and act as a biomarker for ovarian cancer. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
