Target Information
Reticulocalbin 1 (RCN1) is a calcium-binding protein located in the lumen of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER).
It contains six conserved EF-hand calcium-binding motifs and shows high sequence conservation with mouse reticulocalbin, suggesting additional biochemical functions beyond calcium binding.
In human endothelial and prostate cancer cell lines, RCN1 localizes to the plasma membrane.
