This antibody has specificity for Human EBP1.
Target Information
The EBP1 gene encodes an RNA-binding protein involved in growth regulation. It is present in pre-ribosomal ribonucleoprotein complexes and may play roles in ribosome assembly and regulation of rRNA processing.
EBP1 interacts with the cytoplasmic domain of the ErbB3 receptor, contributing to growth regulatory signal transduction. It also functions as a transcriptional co-repressor of androgen receptor-regulated genes and other cell cycle regulatory genes through interactions with histone deacetylases.
EBP1 has been implicated in growth inhibition and induction of differentiation in human cancer cells. Six pseudogenes have been identified on chromosomes 3, 6, 9, 18, 20, and X.
