For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Beta-catenin is an adherens junction (AJ) protein involved in cell-cell adhesion and epithelial layer maintenance. It interacts with E-cadherin and alpha-catenin to link cell adhesion complexes to the actin cytoskeleton.
Beta-catenin also associates with the adenomatous polyposis coli protein and microtubules, influencing signaling pathways such as Wnt/Wingless.
It plays a role in morphogenesis and is expressed in various hair follicle cell types.
Pathological roles include pilomatrixoma, medulloblastoma, colorectal, ovarian, and other solid tumors.
In the nucleus, beta-catenin co-activates Lef/Tcf transcription factors that regulate genes promoting cell proliferation (e.g., cyclin D, c-myc), underlying its role in tumorigenesis.
