0.05 µg/mL of MA5-45109 was sufficient for detection of HSP60 in 20 µg of heat-shocked HeLa cell lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using goat anti-mouse IgG as the secondary antibody. Detects approximately 60 kDa.
Target Information
This gene encodes a member of the chaperonin family. The encoded mitochondrial protein functions as a signaling molecule in the innate immune system and is essential for the folding and assembly of newly imported mitochondrial proteins. The gene is adjacent to a related family member, with a bidirectional promoter between them. Several pseudogenes are associated with this gene. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified. Mutations in this gene cause autosomal recessive spastic paraplegia 13.
