Product Specific Information

The eBioCB-CALLA monoclonal antibody recognizes human CD10 (CALLA, NEP, enkephalinase, Neprilysin), a 100 kDa type II cell surface glycoprotein originally identified in acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). CD10 acts as a Zn²⁺-dependent metallo-peptidase regulating chemotactic and inflammatory processes, B lymphopoiesis, and is expressed in enterocytes, renal tubules, and glomeruli.

• Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
• Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and validated for flow cytometry of human peripheral blood cells
  • Recommended use: 5 µL (0.06 µg) per test
  • A test = antibody amount for 100 µL final volume (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test)

Super Bright 600 is a tandem dye excited by the 405 nm violet laser and emits at 600 nm (recommended filter: 610/20 bandpass).
Use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) when combining multiple Super Bright dyes to minimize non-specific interactions.

Target Information

CD10 (CALLA) is a cell surface enzyme with neutral metalloendopeptidase activity that inactivates biologically active peptides. It is expressed in lymphoblastic, Burkitt’s, and germinal center lymphomas, immature B cells, and various epithelial tissues including kidney and gut. CD10 cleaves peptides at hydrophobic residues and inactivates hormones such as glucagon, enkephalins, substance P, neurotensin, oxytocin, and bradykinin. It is a 100 kDa type II transmembrane glycoprotein encoded by a >45 kb gene with four alternatively spliced transcripts.

Diseases associated with CD10 dysfunction include spinocerebellar ataxia 43 and Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease.
