Product Specific Information

This 1RNM44N monoclonal antibody recognizes mouse CD170 (Siglec F). Siglec F is a cell surface lectin belonging to the Ig superfamily, binding glycoconjugates with sialic acids. It contains an ITIM motif initiating intracellular signaling upon ligand binding. Expressed mainly on eosinophils and alveolar macrophages, lower levels are found on immature myelomonocytic cells. Mouse Siglec F is a functional ortholog of human Siglec 8 but is not expressed on mast cells.

Target Information

SIGLEC5 is a putative adhesion molecule mediating sialic acid-dependent binding to cells. It binds both α2,3- and α2,6-linked sialic acids. Expression is mainly in monocytic/myeloid lineage cells, with high levels in leukocytes, spleen, bone marrow, and lower levels in lymph node, lung, and other tissues.
