Product Specific Information
The 390 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD31 (platelet-endothelial cell adhesion molecule-1, PECAM-1, gpIIa). This 130–140 kDa surface protein is expressed by endothelial cells and at low levels on all leukocytes and platelets. CD31 participates in adhesion, cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, and signal transduction.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested on mouse thymocytes and splenocytes, ≤0.25 µg/test in 100 µL volume. Optimal antibody titration is recommended.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
CD31 (PECAM-1) is an inhibitory coreceptor regulating T and B cell signaling through ITIM motifs that recruit protein-tyrosine phosphatases upon phosphorylation. It is expressed throughout the vascular system, mainly at intercellular junctions. The N-terminal Ig-like domain mediates homophilic binding, critical for cell-cell interaction.
