Product Specific Information

The monoclonal antibody SolA15 recognizes mouse and rat Ki-67, a 300 kDa nuclear protein expressed during all active phases of the cell cycle (G1, S, G2, M) and absent in resting cells (G0). It localizes to the nucleus during interphase and redistributes to chromosomes during mitosis. Ki-67 serves as a marker for determining cell growth fraction and tumor prognosis through the Ki-67 labeling index.

SolA15 also recognizes human, non-human primate, and canine Ki-67.
Applications reported include immunohistochemical staining of FFPE tissues, frozen sections, and immunocytochemistry.

Tested by IHC on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded mouse skin and ICC on fixed/permeabilized C2C12 cells (≤5 µg/mL). Optimal titration recommended.

Target Information

Ki-67 is a nuclear protein expressed during late G1, S, G2, and M phases, associated with euchromatin and heterochromatin regions. Its expression pattern changes dynamically through the cell cycle, making it a reliable proliferation marker absent in G0 cells. Ki-67 antibodies are valuable in determining tumor growth fraction and have strong correlation with tumor grade and prognosis.
