Product Specific Information

This R6H1 monoclonal antibody reacts with CD196 (CCR6), a seven-transmembrane G protein-coupled receptor expressed on T, B, dendritic, natural killer, and Langerhans cells. CCR6 binds MIP-3α/CCL20, a chemoattractant for dendritic cells, effector/memory T cells, and B cells. It plays a role in host defense and inflammation at epithelial sites and is implicated in Th17 differentiation and CD4+FoxP3+ regulatory T cell development.

Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and tested on normal human peripheral blood cells.
Recommended use: 5 µL (0.06 µg) per test (100 µL final volume).

Target Information

CCR6 is a beta chemokine receptor, predicted to be a seven-transmembrane G protein-coupled receptor. It is preferentially expressed by immature dendritic cells and memory T cells. The ligand, MIP-3α, is important for B-lineage maturation and antigen-driven B-cell differentiation, and CCR6 may regulate migration and recruitment of dendritic and T cells during immune responses.
Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been described.
