Product Specific Information

The eBioCW-1.2 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CCR9 (CD199), the receptor for thymus-expressed chemokine (TECK). CCR9 is a member of the G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) superfamily, involved in trafficking of T cell progenitors within the thymus.
Expression begins at the DN3 stage (CD4⁻CD8⁻CD25⁺CD44⁻), peaks at the DP stage (CD4⁺CD8⁺CD25⁻CD44⁻), and is down-regulated in committed CD4⁺ or CD8⁺ SP thymocytes. CCR9-deficient mice show mild impairment in thymocyte development.
In peripheral tissues, CCR9 is expressed on naive CD8⁺ T cells, but not on naive CD4⁺ T cells.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Tested on mouse thymocytes; ≤0.5 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Recommended to titrate for optimal performance.
Excitation: 488–561 nm
Emission: 578 nm
Laser Compatibility: Blue, Green, Yellow-Green
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered

Target Information

The CCR9 protein is a member of the beta chemokine receptor family, predicted to be a seven transmembrane G protein-coupled receptor.
Chemokines and their receptors regulate thymocyte migration and maturation under normal and inflammatory conditions.
The specific ligand is CCL25, and expression differs between T lymphocytes of the small intestine and colon, suggesting a role in thymocyte recruitment and immune specialization in the gastrointestinal tract.
This gene is mapped to the chemokine receptor gene cluster region and has two alternatively spliced transcript variants.
