Product Specific Information
The 3D12 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CCR7 (CD197), also known as EBI-1.
CCR7 is a G-protein-coupled chemokine receptor with seven membrane-spanning domains and serves as a receptor for CCL19 and CCL21. It is expressed on T cells and dendritic cells (DCs) and is used to distinguish naive, central, and effector memory T cell populations.
During DC maturation, CCR7 expression increases and contributes to functions such as:
- Chemotaxis to lymph nodes
- Cellular architecture and endocytosis regulation
- Survival and maturation
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and validated for human peripheral blood cells at 5 µL (0.125 µg)/test.
Optimal staining: Incubate ≥45 minutes at 2–8°C.
Excitation: 488–561 nm
Emission: 578 nm

Target Information
CCR7 belongs to the G protein-coupled receptor family and is induced by Epstein-Barr virus (EBV).
It is expressed in blood, bone marrow, lymph nodes, and intestines, particularly in lymphoid tissues and activated B/T lymphocytes. CCR7 regulates migration of memory T cells to inflamed tissues and promotes dendritic cell maturation.
Its specific ligands include CCL19 (ECL) and CCL21.
C-C chemokine receptors such as CCR1–CCR5 and the Duffy antigen are crucial for T cell chemotaxis and phagocyte migration during inflammation.
