Product Specific Information

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and expressed, and individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates.

Target Information

GluR1 (Glutamate receptor 1) is an ionotropic glutamate receptor. L-glutamate acts as an excitatory neurotransmitter at many synapses in the central nervous system.
Binding of L-glutamate induces a conformational change that opens the cation channel, converting the chemical signal into an electrical impulse. The receptor then rapidly desensitizes and enters a transient inactive state.
In the presence of CACNG4, CACNG7, or CACNG8, GluR1 shows resensitization characterized by delayed accumulation of current flux upon continued glutamate application.
