Target Information

PAK2 (serine/threonine-protein kinase PAK2) is a serine/threonine kinase involved in multiple signaling pathways, including cytoskeleton regulation, cell motility, cell cycle progression, apoptosis, and proliferation. It functions as a downstream effector of the small GTPases CDC42 and RAC1. Activation occurs through binding with active CDC42 and RAC1, leading to conformational change and autophosphorylation on several serine and/or threonine residues. Full-length PAK2 promotes cell survival and growth. PAK proteins are key mediators linking Rho GTPases to cytoskeletal reorganization and nuclear signaling and are implicated in diverse biological processes.
